NFB of CT

The National Federation of the Blind of Connecticut (NFB of CT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization made up of blind people of all ages and their friends and family. The NFB of CT is not an organization speaking for the blind, we are the blind speaking for themselves.

The National Federation of the Blind of Connecticut is the state affiliate of the National Federation of the Blind and we work to improve the lives of blind people in Connecticut and the nation. By providing information and education to our members and the public, the NFB of CT is changing what it means to be blind. We can help you understand that blindness need not be a tragedy. We work to ensure that blind people receive the services and training to which they are entitled and that parents of blind children receive the advice and support they need to help their children grow up to be happy, productive adults.

The members of the National Federation of the Blind of Connecticut provide peer support and encouragement for one another. We work together to promote the goal of integrating blind people into society as equals and productive members. We work very hard to change misconceptions about blindness. The NFB of CT makes it possible for blind individuals to reach their full potential.
